We are seeking individuals who could possibly transition to an employee if funding becomes available and have the right skills sets, initiative, etc. We are looking for people with superior writing skills, an interest in American history (preferably space history but it is not required), and the desire to grow with a vital and dynamic organization. We want someone who can help with development of interpretive signage, our STEM educational programming and even grant-writing, but can also pitch in with administrative work. As noted, this will begin as a volunteer position but could become more. We seek initiative, innovation, cooperative personalities, the ability to think outside the box, to multi-task and a desire to connect with the public and create a 21st Century museum that is engaging and inviting to all ages and interest levels.

About American Space Museum / Space Walk of Fame Foundation
Location:
308 PINE ST, TITUSVILLE, FL 32796, US
Mission Statement
Our mission is two-fold, as our tagline indicates: "Preserving Achievement; Inspiring Innovation." First, we honor those who built the American space program by preserving their artifacts, history and individual stories. Second, we use those stories and artifacts as an educational springboard toward inspiring a new generation to innovate, invent, explore and discover.
Description
We have a 6,000 sq ft facility in downtown Titusville, dedicated to honoring America's space pioneers and displaying their artifacts and achievements. We also offer STEAM Space, a dynamic education program that features monthly programming for kids, a variety of camps, activities and a Makerspace. We are also building a one-of-a-kind SALT program, focusing on Strategic thinking, Administration, Leadership and Teamwork.
Our museum is open 6 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a suggested donation of $10 per adult, $8 for military and seniors, $5 for students 13-18 and FREE for students under 12. Our near-by Space Walk of Fame monuments are available for viewing year-round. We offer docents who worked in the space program and can tell the story of our space history from a personal perspective. We also offer a hands-on experience where visitors can interact with some (not all) of our artifacts...including a mission control console that was used during the Apollo and Shuttle programs, and a NASA program desk from 1964, which offers visitors the chance to dial an old rotary phone and type on a NASA typewriter from the era.
