We are in the process of a dynamic "Museum Refresh" -- creating new interpretive signage, adding new artifacts, redesigning the flow of the museum and more. We are looking for individuals who would like to assist in this process. You can input information into Past Perfect, or, if you have writing skills, perhaps assist with the research and development of signage. You can assist with setting up displays, labeling artifacts, photographing artifacts and more. It's a chance to literally "touch history" and help to inspire others!

About American Space Museum / Space Walk of Fame Foundation
Location:
308 PINE ST, TITUSVILLE, FL 32796, US
Mission Statement
Our mission is two-fold, as our tagline indicates: "Preserving Achievement; Inspiring Innovation." First, we honor those who built the American space program by preserving their artifacts, history and individual stories. Second, we use those stories and artifacts as an educational springboard toward inspiring a new generation to innovate, invent, explore and discover.
Description
We have a 6,000 sq ft facility in downtown Titusville, dedicated to honoring America's space pioneers and displaying their artifacts and achievements. We also offer STEAM Space, a dynamic education program that features monthly programming for kids, a variety of camps, activities and a Makerspace. We are also building a one-of-a-kind SALT program, focusing on Strategic thinking, Administration, Leadership and Teamwork.
Our museum is open 6 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a suggested donation of $10 per adult, $8 for military and seniors, $5 for students 13-18 and FREE for students under 12. Our near-by Space Walk of Fame monuments are available for viewing year-round. We offer docents who worked in the space program and can tell the story of our space history from a personal perspective. We also offer a hands-on experience where visitors can interact with some (not all) of our artifacts...including a mission control console that was used during the Apollo and Shuttle programs, and a NASA program desk from 1964, which offers visitors the chance to dial an old rotary phone and type on a NASA typewriter from the era.
