ORGANIZATION: National MS Society, Greater Illinois

Bike MS is one of the annual flagship fundraising events put on by the National MS Society, Greater Illinois Chapter.

The Tour de Farms is held in DeKalb with NIU acting as our homebase, and will be taking place the weekend of June 9-11. We are also in need of volunteers leading up to the event.

Volunteer needs include:

  • Bike Storage Check-in/out
  • Festival Area Support/Floaters
  • Food & Hydration Areas on Festival Site
  • Join the Movement Tent (Mission & Concierge)
  • Kids Ride Registration & Support - SATURDAY ONLY
  • Massage Therapist (must be licensed or overseen by a teacher)
  • Medical Team (must be CPR & First Aid Certified)
  • Motorcycle Safety Crew "MSC" (Requires motorcycle driving license, proof of insurance & safety training)
  • Net Control/Communications
  • Photography/Videography (requires use of personal camera)
  • Registration Team
  • Rest Stops **TIMING WILL VARY DEPENDING ON REST STOP ASSIGNMENT**
  • Route Marking
  • Safety & Gear Driver "SAG" (Requires driver’s license, proof of insurance & safety training)
  • Spirit Crew
  • Supply Truck/Cargo Van Driver (Requires driver’s license, proof of insurance & safety training, prefer drivers with commercial licenses)
  • Volunteer Check-in

Times, dates, and shifts may vary, depending on the volunteer position you select.

The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
