White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf is a leading agency that provides healthy food and support to our neighbors in need,in partnership with the communities of the White Bear Area. Be a critical part of the solution to food insecurity by becoming a volunteer food rescue driver. We have positions available that can include driving our new refrigerated truck or use your own SUV or Van. We currently have need of drivers on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 11:00am-1:00pm. A background check is required.
Great way to get some exercise. Must be comfortable bending and lifting up to 40#'s.
Training provided. Volunteers are asked to commit to a shift every or every other week for 6 months. (We can work around vacations.)
Stores are withing a distance of 5 miles.

The White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf has been providing food to our neighbors in need since 1977. We do this in close partnership with our community - with individuals, churches, schools, businesses, neighborhood associations and other community groups.
Description
The White Bear Area Food Shelf (WBAFS) has served as a critical resource for families struggling with food insecurity since 1977. Over the past four decades, we have grown and improved our traditional food shelf programming in addition to creating new and innovative services to better meet the needs of our neighbors.
