We need volunteers to help clients shop items in the Pantry, which operates like a small grocery store, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays between 9am and 2pm. There are two shifts during that time.
Volunteers will walk through the Pantry with clients, following a list and letting them know how much food we are able to give them. Your goal is to give our clients the dignity and respect that everyone deserves. This is a direct service opportunity meaning you will work directly with clients. Therefore, you must pass background check to begin.
The JFS Food Pantry, located off Montfort and Arapaho in Addison, serves about 180 families each week in the pantry, with clients from 20 different Dallas zip codes and a variety of demographics.
