RESIDENT SERVICES VOLUNTEER LEADER
Summary
The Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) is a fast-paced nonprofit organization that has been "helping people and building community" for 36 years and providing service to over 100,000 people each year. The resident services department at LTSC is looking to intake, train, and develop volunteer leaders who will help manage and coordinate our volunteers.
Objective
Volunteer leaders in the Resident Services Volunteer program will focus on providing resources for LTSC’s affordable housing residents by recruiting, onboarding, and managing volunteers. Under the supervision of the volunteer coordinator, leaders will be asked to do assignments dependent on program needs and leader’s strengths/preferences. Hours are flexible, and, depending on task, work can be done remotely.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting in planning and executing volunteer recognition events
Performing volunteer outreach and marketing volunteer opportunities
Responding to volunteer inquiries
Managing volunteer onboarding and volunteer orientation
Coordinating volunteer opportunities for new and existing volunteers
Data entry and volunteer database/resource management
Create newsletters and develop other strategies to engage volunteers
***Volunteer leaders can work with the volunteer coordinator to work on the skillsets they desire!
No experience requiredSkills (preferred):
Leadership/Team management
Efficient with google apps
Ability to self-manage, time manage, and meet deadlines
