Sojourn Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to provide the gift of companionship for those with a serious life-limiting illness, and to provide care-giver relief for their loved ones.
Volunteers are a very integral part of our team. You may make meaningful social visits, read to patients, help with journaling, take them outside, make a light meal, and/or provide healing touch. Visits can be arranged for a day and time that works best for both you and the patient.
Our patients are located in their homes throughout San Diego County.
You will receive in-depth training about hospice and the role of the volunteer. No prior experience required, just a willingness and open heart to help those in need.
Your time and energy will have such an impact on the lives of our terminally ill patients and their families, and can be one of your life's most profound experiences.
