Grant Researcher. VIM Berkshires, a free healthcare facility for the uninsured, is seeking a volunteer with professional skills to assist the clinic in researching regional and national grant opportunities that can support the ongoing operations of the clinic as well as our program innovations. Access to a grant research platform is necessary. Some access can be provided locally, but working from your home with your own professional access is preferred. VIM is staffed by volunteer clinicians who provide free medical and dental care for the uninsured and underinsured, along with mental health, optometry, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition counseling services.

The Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires free clinic provides access to quality health care for income qualified, uninsured residents of the Berkshire region in a respectful and caring manner.

Description

Volunteers in Medicine Berkshires (VIM Berkshires) is a free, not-for-profit healthcare clinic that serves eligible, uninsured, adults in the Berkshires, MA region. VIM clinical volunteers provide dental, medical, mental health, optometry, nutritional counselling, acupuncture and massage therapy. Patient clinical services are supported by administrative volunteers who volunteer in the front office, communications efforts, fundraising, interpretation, and all other administrative roles needed to run a free healthcare not-for-profit.

VIM provides a respectful and caring atmosphere for patients and volunteers alike; appointments are scheduled to offer adequate time so that providers and patients are not rushed. Everyone - patients, volunteers and staff - are treated with dignity and respect, towards a goal of building community based on teamwork and collaboration.
