ORGANIZATION: Sound Generations/Lake City Seniors

The SHIBA Program is in need of a volunteer who is available 1-2 days a week Mon-Fri anytime between 8am-4pm to help with administrative duties.

The sponsor site is Sound Generations and our program handles 33% of WA State so you can imagine how busy we are! These duties do not include counseling clients, but you will be working along-side the manager - so if you are computer savvy, open to taking on projects, would enjoy working in a non-profit office environment, don't mind data entry, and love free snacks and beverages - then this volunteer role is for you! All training needed will be provided. Thank you in advance for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!

Description

Since 1967, Sound Generations (formally Senior Services) has connected older adults and adults with disabilities in King County with vital resources to help them thrive. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing Meals on Wheels, free rides to medical appointments, fitness programs and opportunities for meaningful engagement with others. We alleviate stress by connecting seniors and those who care about them to whatever they need to remain safe, active and healthy and we are committed to helping all people - especially those in low-income communities and communities of color feel included and respected. Lake City Seniors is one of our partner sites who provided activities to older adults in collaboration with Seattle Parks & Recreation, Hunger Intervention Program, SeaMar, and Chinese Information & Services Center.
