ORGANIZATION: NORFOLK COUNTY RSVP

  • 29 people are interested

Norfolk Country RSVP is seeking drivers to support Meals-on-Wheels programs in Quincy, Weymouth and Braintree. The Meals-on-Wheels program helps bring nutrition and independence to Seniors and people with special disabilities. Apart from ensuring that these individuals get a healthy meal delivered daily, the human contact you provide, simply through your physical presence each week, makes a big difference in combating a sense of isolation that many of them experience.

Drivers deliver pre-packed, hot meals to 10-12 homebound seniors locally. The typical time commitment is about 1.5 hours one morning per week between 10:30AM and 12 noon. You need a valid driver's license and your own vehicle. Volunteers are reimbursed by RSVP and Randolph MOW for all travel-related expenses.

Join the MOW team and know that you are making a real difference in the lives of others.

PLEASE NOTE: This volunteer opportunity is available only to adults age 55 and older.
