CLUB1111

This event happens on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 5pm-9pm.
New volunteers will need to arrive by 4pm for orientation.

CLUB1111 is Maryland’s first and only nightclub for people with disabilities that includes DJs, dancing, spa, games, and much more! CLUB1111 also provides a social opportunity which might not otherwise be available to this community.

Mission Statement

The League for People with Disabilities is committed to offering individuals the opportunity to gain independence through: Plans of service addressing each client's individual needs and preferences Rehabilitative and support programs Integration of people of all abilities into the community at-large Public advocacy and collaboration.

Description

The League runs several programs including: Two Adult Medical Day Programs (1 is for seniors) for people needing some assistance to remain independent in the community; The Wellness Center is a fitness center open to anyone--it is completely accessible and has a heated therapeautic swimming pool; The Vocational and Supported Employment Programs provide support to individuals in the workplace or looking to reenter it; The Learning Center provides Basic Adult Education and 1:1 tutoring from volunteers; Camp Greentop, in western Maryland, provides camp sessions for children and adults with a wide variety of abilities--they are now beginning a year-round therapeautic recreation program.
