The League for People with Disabilities is committed to offering individuals the opportunity to gain independence through: Plans of service addressing each client's individual needs and preferences Rehabilitative and support programs Integration of people of all abilities into the community at-large Public advocacy and collaboration.

Description

The League runs several programs including: Two Adult Medical Day Programs (1 is for seniors) for people needing some assistance to remain independent in the community; The Wellness Center is a fitness center open to anyone--it is completely accessible and has a heated therapeutic swimming pool; The Vocational and Supported Employment Programs provide support to individuals in the workplace or looking to reenter it; The Learning Center provides Basic Adult Education and 1:1 tutoring from volunteers; Camp Greentop, in western Maryland, provides camp sessions for children and adults with a wide variety of abilities--they are now beginning a year-round therapeutic recreation program.

Hi and I'm here because I'm advanced stage Multiple sclerosis and I'm writing your organization to seek help in finding better housing because where i live at is very difficult for my type of disability.i also have an Services dog and by me having ms i must eat grilled food's and do my physical therapy but my apartment is to small for it and my service dog can go outside when she's ready plus I've put in for a transfer with doctors letters and get denied so that's why I'm writing you to get some help in getting a house for my needs.you can call me at4109038201.Thank You.
