The Homeless Children's Playtime Project provides trauma-informed play programs for youth ages 6 months - 18 years old at 5 different family shelters/transitional housing sites across Washington, DC. Volunteer with us to serve youth, give back to your community, and have fun! Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting our play programming with children, or our social-emotional programming with pre-teens and teens.

Volunteers serve at one of our sites once a week for two hours, for a minimum of 6 months. In order to become a volunteer, attend a training and complete our volunteer process.

Our next training is Wednesday, October 18th from 6:30-8:30pm at 1525 Newton St NW - attend to start the process of becoming a weekly volunteer!
