Girls Inc. mission is to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Metropolitan Family Service SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) program works to mobilize and to strategically organize community resources to provide educational support and skill development for youth and adults. West Powellhurst Elementary SUN School will include a Girls Group through Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest. Two facilitators will run the Girls Group once a week during the SUN winter term. The class will follow a specific research-based curriculum.

Description

Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
