Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a nonprofit food rescue organization dedicated to reducing food waste and feeding the hungry. We are currently looking for Lead Rescuers to join our leadership team. A Lead Rescuer is a passionate and dedicated volunteer who commits to leading one event, once per week. Training is provided.

Help rescue leftover pastries from a cafe in Rose Hill that would otherwise have been thrown away and bring it to those who need it the most! This food will be delivered on-foot to a nearby homeless shelter.

Lightweight: the average amount of food is a total of 15 lbs.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
