Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia is looking for 200+ volunteers to help run our 5K. We need tons of volunteer power to make our 5k events a success, so we could really use your help! Volunteers are needed to fill various positions at various times in the morning between 6:15am-11:00am. There are two different locations and dates.
If you are available to help on Saturday, December 1st in Woodbridge at Pfitzner Stadium or Sunday, December 2nd at Dulles Town Center, then please consider volunteering at one (or both!) of our Girls on the Run Fall 5k events!
We have a volunteer opportunity for everyone at our 5ks! Leading up to the 5k, we have Packet Pick-Ups in locations throughout Northern Virginia for runners to pick up their 5k bib and t-shirt, and we need volunteers to help staff these Packet Pick-Ups. Additionally, we have volunteer needs in the following areas the day of the two 5k events:
- Runner info/Registration Tent
- Alumni Tent
- Start/Finish Line
- Bike Marshals
- Water Stop (Group Only)
- Road Runners
- Bus Greeters
- Parking Crew
- Cheer Station (Group Only)
- Course Marshals

Description
Girls on the Run of NOVA advocates and delivers physical activity-based, positive youth development programs (PA-PYD) for pre-adolescent and adolescent girls in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Loudoun, Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving more than 60,000 girls since 2000, GOTR NOVA works to engage the entire community to positively impact the health and well being of the girls of Northern Virginia, their families and communities, and the volunteer coaches who serve them.
