Do you have compassion, good communication skills, and at least three hours a week to help Kansas Medicaid consumers? The KanCare Ombudsman Volunteer Program is currently taking applications in the Kansas City Metro and Wichita areas for volunteers interested in helping Kansas Medicaid members resolve problems regarding their services, coverage, access and rights.

Certified Ombudsman Volunteers are the heart of this program. You don’t have to be an expert on Medicaid to volunteer; you will learn as you help others.

Volunteers receive, at no cost, a minimum of 30 hours training and mentoring by an experienced staff member prior to starting their services as well as ongoing, continuing education.

Consider being a part of our team. Let’s work together to help Kansas Medicaid consumers get their questions answered.
