About

Are you a passionate about organizing events? Are you awaiting for an opportunity to earn valuable experience and improve your curriculum vitae? In prep for this year’s Annual Leadership Summit, Young [E] innovative Leaders of Liberia (YELL) is searching for an enthusiastic person to join our Event Planning Committee. As an Event Planner Intern you will be working with vendors, donors, attendees and volunteers, this is a great chance to enhance your management and organizational accomplishments. Being part of YELL will give you hands-on experience in the daily work environment at the fast-paced organization. The hours are flexible and you can function remotely. The time commitment is about 7-10 hours per workweek.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal, listening and writing) skills and an outstanding attention to detail
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function independently and as a member of a squad
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to act quickly and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Detail oriented, team player, and technologically savvy
  • Access to phone and computer with internet connection
  • Event planning and fundraising experience is a plus
