We are currently looking for dog owners to be Paw Pal Volunteers and accompany their pets on visits with patients on hospice at VITAS Healthcare. There are many volunteer opportunities and locations available including nursing homes and long term care facilities in the South County area- 63128.
VITAS Paw Pals are pet owners that can offer comfort, bring back memories, encourage activity and provide unconditional love to VITAS patients. Your visits leave behind memories of you and your pet, and rekindle thoughts of other pets. All kinds of pets are invited to join VITAS’ Paw Pals Program. Do you own a dog that would be a good paw pal volunteer? If so, we want to talk to you about how beneficial your visits can be for patients.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
