Each year Good Shepherd Hospice hosts the Bob Sweeney Children's Holiday Party. This event is for children, ages 5-17, who have experienced the loss of an immediate loved one. Children and their parents attend the morning's therapeutic grief workshops and then engage in holiday themed social activities.
Each child is assigned a Volunteer Pal for the day, someone to ensure that each child has fun and gets the attention that they deserve. Pal's participate with their assigned child in the days activities and form a bond that cannot be described.
Additional volunteers are needed to assist with the setup and breakdown of the day's activities and to assist with crafts, face painting, games, and entertainment.
These very brave children need your help to ensure a fun and therapeutic day!
