Mission Statement

CHSLI affirms the sanctity of life, advocates for the poor and underserved, and serves the common good. It conducts its healthcare practice, business, education and innovation with justice, integrity, and respect for the dignity of each person.

Good Shepherd Hospice is a non-profit organization that aims to expand and enhance healthcare at the end-of-life for all individuals and their families living throughout Long Island, and to educate the community about hospice services.

Good Shepherd Hospice helps patients and their families live each day fully, focusing on quality of life, control of symptoms and the things that matter to them the most. Good Shepherd Hospice is accessible to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, lifestyle or economic status. Hospice is a philosophy of care, not a specific place.

Volunteer coordinators are very thorough and helpful. Everyone I met were very excited to work at CHS and were very thankful to have me on board.
