Join Family Eldercare and the Central Texas cycling community for a day of cycling and celebrating life at all ages! Designed for the young and young at heart, the inaugural Gears for the Years is a non-competitive charity ride benefiting Family Eldercare. Whether you ride 25, 40, or 60 miles, your participation helps fund desperately needed client services in Travis and Williamson county.

As you know, no endurance event or fundraiser would ever be successful without a group of amazing volunteers. These opportunities are PERFECT for groups, teams, and organizations, both adults and youth!

A little information:

The ride is October 23 rd at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

Shifts will begin around 6 am for many positions, and typically be 3 hours. Times will be slightly different for aid stations.

We anticipate the event as a whole will run from the 6am start-up time until approximately 1pm or 2pm. Many shifts will end before that, I just offer that timeframe for overall planning purposes!

Volunteers will receive: a Gears for the Years t-shirt, free breakfast, free beer in the beer garden for volunteers 21 and older, and plenty of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. These opportunities are GREAT for groups, and for volunteers of all ages. (Only ONE person per group needs to fill out the form!)
