Children’s Fairyland is thrilled to announce its third annual training for Toddler Storytime volunteers. We are looking for adults (18+) who want to be trained by librarians to lead toddler-specific Storytimes on our outdoor Emerald City Stage. Storytime takes place every Friday at 10:30am and 3:00pm, and volunteers will commit to 1-2 sessions per month.
Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with and leading a group of children, parents and caregivers for 20 minutes. During the training, they will develop skills in choosing books, reading aloud, songleading, and other fun literacy-focused activities. The two-day training will be on Friday, Nov. 18 (9:30-4:00) and Saturday, Nov. 19 (9:30-3:00). Both days are required and the training is highly interactive!
If you would like to get more information about becoming a Storytime volunteer, please contact Shana Barchas, Education Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We strongly encourage men to apply! Thank you so much and we hope to hear from you.
