CCE Wine & Chefs Fundraiser
Wine & Chefs Fundraiser for Locavores
Cornell Cooperative Extension Wine & Chefs FundraiserWHEN: Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
(VIP winery tour starts at 6:00)
WHERE: Stoutridge Vineyard - 10 Ann Kaley Lane, Marlboro
Stoutridge Vineyard wines are "slow wines" in that they have incorporated a philosophy of winemaking that emphasizes techniques which make the best wine for a given region rather than techniques which are optimized for bringing wine to the marketplace. Their wines are only available at the farm.
The local hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the Chefs’ Consortium, New York chefs from all walks of life who are committed to promoting locally-grown farm, fresh food. Featured chefs include John Novi, owner and chef of the Depuy Canal House in High Falls, NY and Maria Reidelbach, author of the Stick to Local Farms Cookbook: Hudson Valley.
This benefit, for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, helps to continue a 100 year tradition of excellence in agriculture, youth, and environmental programs. Tickets are $100. VIP tickets, which include a post-reception tour of the winery by winemakers Kim Wagner and Stephen Osborn, start at $125. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.
Volunteers are needed as follows:
3-4pm for Set Up; 4-6pm for general help;
6-7pm help with break down/clean up.
Two people needed for each 2 hour shift
Volunteers will be welcome to water and food and should be over 21 years of age.
If you can help out please contact Carrie Anne at 845-340-3990 or email cad266@cornell.edu
