Join our volunteer crews!

Join us at this tree care event as a part of our restoration efforts at this 23-acre park in SE Portland. We will be spreading mulch and removing invasive weeds to prepare this site for this December's planting. This event is in partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation and the Portland Parks Foundation as a part of Parke-Diem, as well the Johnson Creek Watershed Council and is supported by the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District and Metro.

Volunteers should come dressed for the weather, wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and get ready to have fun! Friends of Trees will provides breakfast snacks, gloves, tools, and planting guidance.

Friends of Trees is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which organizes tree planting and care events in neighborhoods, natural areas and on school grounds in partnership with the community, government and businesses.

Since Friends of Trees was founded in 1989, our volunteers have planted more than 750,000 trees and native plants!
