We have a very large pre-literacy and beginning level ESL class that meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6-8 pm. We need individuals who can assist the teacher in the classroom. Volunteers should be comfortable with a culturally diverse, multi-level classroom. Volunteers would primarily help with conversation practice, small groups or other breakout sessions during the classroom time, and assisting with games, activities, and other interactive parts of the lesson.
If interested, please send an email outlining any previous experience you have working with refugee, immigrant, or ESL populations and/or why you are interested in volunteering with the Adult Ed. program at APDC. Please also state your hours of availibility.
