Join us! We are currently looking for Monday and Wednesday day ABE tutors/volunteers

United South End Settlements’ Workforce Readiness program seeks to open doors to previously unattainable economic opportunities for low-income residents of our community through basic education and professional development.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Tutors are a crucial support to our program, providing our adult learners with one-on-one support on subjects such as basic math, reading, and writing as students are preparing for the High School Equivalency Test (HiSet). Some experience in teaching and/or tutoring with adults preferred (but not necessary)!

ABE students are available for tutoring in the afternoons Monday-Thursday (2:30-5:00pm) and during the day on Friday (9:00-5:00pm)

ABE classes meet Monday-Thursday 9:15am-2:15pm and Tuesday/Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm. Opportunities to volunteer as an in-class tutor are also available (9:15-2:15)
