Help children learn English in Mexico during your semester abroad! Live with a group of other volunteers and spend part of your day working with children in a classroom and spending the rest of your time exploring and really experiencing the Mexican culture. International Language Programs (ILP) is a non-profit service organization based in Orem, Utah that sends 18-25 year old volunteers around the world to make a difference and have their own life-changing experiences. Over 9,000 volunteers have served with ILP to help children learn English, with numbers growing quickly.
We currently have ILP groups living in Celaya, San Jose Iturbide, and Irapuato, Mexico. This cities are located north of Mexico City and are surrounded by beautiful places that you can explore even on the weekend like natural hot springs to relax in, mountains to hike, and ancient statues and ruins to visit.
