Locations: Manchester, CT
Hours: Saturdays from 9:00am-10:30am, Fall 2016. Volunteers are needed for three weeks, and can volunteer for one or more week commitments.
Depending on your role, your tasks may include:
* Create a warm, inviting environment to all volunteers and guests
* Set-up and take down the welcome area
* Greet families and volunteers and orient them to rooms, meals and bathrooms
* Help everyone sign in and receive a name tag
* Help with registration
Impact: By serving with this volunteer opportunity, you will be helping young children become socially, emotionally and academically prepared for kindergarten by collaboratively increasing the scope, quality and impact of local family-based programs and services.
In order to volunteer you should be:
* A registered Urban Alliance volunteer (you will have the chance to if you haven't already)
* 18 years or older
* Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
* Willing to attend an orientation and submit a BHF volunteer orientation
* Willing to interact with others
* Responsible, friendly and organized
* Patient and honest
A background check will be required to be placed with this volunteer opportunity.
