Greetings All,

Our major fundraising event of the year, Pipers in the Prairie is coming up soon on Saturday, October 8 and we need your help.

Below are the positions we need help with. Thank you for your consideration.

Friday, October 7:morning and/or afternoon shifts of 2-4 hours for Pre-event Prep:
Pre-event Prep:

Outdoors: mulch trails, trim specific trails, sweep driveway, etc. (6+ people needed)

Indoors: Set up tables, move chairs, slice bread for crostini, etc. (6+ people needed)

Saturday, October 8 : DAY of EVENT
9:30 am - 11:30 am
Prep Catering Attendant: make crostini, fruit, veggies, plate desserts, clean windows, pick up trash, place groundhog hole flags, move tables/chairs, wipe walls etc. etc. (4-6 people needed)

11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Food Procurement: pick up food from various restaurants, deliver to ALNC (4-6 people needed)

3:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (shift time is flexible)
Catering Attendant: arrange food on tables, serve hors d'oeuvres/dessert, wash dishes as needed, assist with clean-up (8+ people needed)

4:14 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (This position also helps with catering after registration is complete)
Registration: greet guests, register walk-ins and hand out name tags (3 people needed)

4:15 pm - 5:30 pm
Parking: Assists guest with parking, then helps with other assignments such as catering, fire brigade, clean-up, etc. (2 people needed)

4:15 pm - 9:00 pm
Bartender Attendant
Serve guests non-alcoholic beverages (2-3 people needed)

6:30 pm 9:00 pm
Fire Brigade- controlled burn certified only
Helps monitor bonfire (4-6 people needed)

8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Clean Up Crew: break down tables/chairs, put away supplies (10+ dedicated staff and volunteers needed until finished)

ALNC, as always, will provide:
· A fun and respectful experience
· Complimentary refreshments -- pizza, beverage and a sweet treat!
· An opportunity to watch the Pipers in the Prairie procession and Festival Fire!
· Satisfaction knowing you are contributing to a worthy organization and an awesome event!

EVENT INFO: On Saturday, October 8 from4:30 - 8 pmthe Aldo Leopold Nature Center will offer a unique and unforgettable celebration of the harvest season. This eventis a family-friendly outing offering music, drama, culture and interactive indoor and outdoor nature activities. This enchanting event features exceptional entertainment, found nowhere else in the area, including:
· Sumptuous hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts
· Musical entertainment by the Celtic trio, West Wind
· Celtic dance demonstrations by Chashel Dennehy
· Prairie drama by the Green Man with sing-a-long by the bonfire
· On-line and silent auction
· Special Science On a Sphere Exhibit
· The captivating sounds of Pipers in the Prairie and Drummers on the Drumlin
· Spectacular bonfire
· Nature and craft activities for younger guests
· Social and professional networking
