Mission Statement

The mission of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center is to teach love and respect for the land in the spirit of famed Wisconsin conservationist Aldo Leopold. The Nature Center reaches over 25,000 school children, teachers and families each year.

The Aldo Leopold Nature Center specializes in connecting children and their families to the outdoors. Through hands-on, guided experiences, children and adults come to discover and explore the wonders of the natural world. The Nature Center operates two locations: in Monona and in Black Earth.

Read his book. Mr. Leopold has a distinct closeness with nature and the environment. After reading his book and visiting this facility, you may want to volunteer at this facility, especially if'n your from Wisconsin.
