We are currently looking to build our already brilliant team of regular volunteers!
With the number of properties that we own or are working on in the Newburgh area, it can be a handful to keep them all maintained. We are reaching out to the Hudson Valley community in an effort to recruit a (semi)regular volunteer(s) who can help us with the general maintenance of our properties.
There is always plenty of work to be done in the active construction of our homes, as well as volunteering at our ReStore. However, the general upkeep of our properties often gets lost in the shuffle. This ia a great opportunity for a volunteer/volunteers to lend a hand in a differenct capacity. This could be a rewarding role for someone who is looking to get involved with Habitat Newburgh, but doesn't want to work on an active construction site.

Description
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Habitat succeeds in reintroducing into neighborhoods the most basic building block of any community - the homeowner. Habitat provides resources, guidance, and hope to aspiring families. These families work from within their neighborhoods, creating the change we all seek, and repaying the investment that we have made in them.
Since affiliation with Habitat for Humanity International in 1999, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh has:
- Acquired numerous abandoned houses in the City of Newburgh for rehabilitation
- Organized thousands of volunteers
- Completed 107 houses
- Partnered with over 550 individuals, including 274 children
