We are interested in enagaging new volunteers residing in and/or with deep connections in Oakland or Alameda county to actively serve on our Board of Directors.
Board members work together to set mission, strategic goals, and policy. They also set and approve budgets, raise needed funds and ensure adequate resources. We will ask you to "open doors to those you know and represent the organization to the public, and the public to the organization. We will ask you to work in partnership with staff and other board members to develop ourselves through recruitment, orientation, and training. We will ask you to contribute your skills and talents and leverage your business and personal network to the organization.
A background, interest or appreciation in choral singing, music or some other performing arts is always appreciated.
