The focus of this project will be designing, building and implementing internal IT infrastructure for WGLI
Project Responsibilities:
Assess organization's IT needs, recommend software and hardware solutions to scale the operation
Develop IT infrastructure, and manage IT operations
Plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical operations
The Director of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization
Determine the necessary technological resources to operate efficiently, effectively, and transparently and secure them
Determine the implementation process and needs (including IT staffing)
Determine implementation process and needs and ensure successful completion and ongoing support model for WGLI staff
Required Qualification:
1. Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
2. Masters Degree preferred
3. Experience in a startup or non-profit a plus
4. Strong leadership and communication skills required
5. Proven ability to manage cross-organizational IT projects in a not for profit setting involving new systems selection, integration, interoperability and deployment required
6. Commitment of 1 year minimum; ideally a 2 year commitment is preferred
