Are you good at English or History? Do you have teaching experience, are interested in education or looking to give back to the community?
Neighborhood Youth Association is an after-school program for at-risk and low-income youth in Venice. We are currenly looking for tutors to help our high school students with the English and History classes. Tutoring would be 1 on 1 or in a small class (1-3 students) to assist with homework or basic reading, writing and study skills.

The Neighborhood Youth Association provides at risk youth from low income homes a comprehensive set of educational enhancement services in a sustained, focused manner over the critical years of their lives so that they may successfully reach a productive adulthood.
Description
NYA offers services that are long term and concentrated, adapted to meet the individual needs of each child and are measured against tangible goals. We have locations in Venice, Mar Vista (West LA), Downtown LA, Mid-City, and South LA/Harbor Gateway.
