Friends of Trees plants tens of thousands of trees in cities and parks across the greater Portland metro region, including Multnomah, Washington, Clark, Clackamas, and Marion Counties. Volunteers help us plant and care for trees, while educating their communities, so that everyone may access the benefits of trees.
We are seeking volunteers to join us as Neighborhood Coordinators in their neighborhood (Eastside Portland and Vancouver, WA only) , help ing us plan and deliver top-notch community tree planting events as a part of our Neighborhood Trees program (http://bit.ly/neighborhoodtreesprogram). No experience is necessary - just enthusiasm for connecting your neighborhood to trees. Time commitment varies and we're flexible with your schedule.
Party planners, tree enthusiasts, community connectors, social butterflies - Could this be your calling? Read about the role here: http://friendsoftrees.org/volunteering#NC
We seek to have one Neighborhood Coordinator in each residential neighborhood where we plant. Right now, many neighborhood across Vancouver, WA and Portland do not have local volunteers advocating for trees.
Our staff are scheduling one-on-one Neighborhood Coordinator trainings this summer for all interested volunteers. Get in touch with us to learn more and see if you can fill the Neighborhood Coordinator role in your Vancouver or Portland neighborhood.
