Volunteer your time and talents to make the day of a child with special needs and their siblings even better by participating in one of our fun Volunteer Respite Care Program events!
The Volunteer Respite Program strengthens families with children who have special needs by giving the parents or caregivers a much-needed break from direct care responsibilities. Parent are able to bring their children to the events where they are matched with a volunteer who will spend the day with the child, participating in a variety of activities available (crafts, basketball, bingo, etc), while the parents get some time to themselves to renew and recharge. We hold approximately 10+ events throughout the year at various locations in and around the Milwaukee area with approx. 60-80 children attending each event.
We try to bring new, fun experiences to respite events and would greatly appreciate the donation of your time and talent. Not an exclusive list, but some activities our kids would enjoy- face painting, balloon twisting, children’s entertainer/singer, dance performance/instruction, leading an art project............
Thank you for considering this opportunity!
