Do you have a passion for making people feel good about themselves?

Do you have a license to cut and color hair, or trim and pain nails?

Are you a make up guru with experience or a Mary Kay representative?

Do you have a heart for the sick and elderly?

You can make a difference for out hospice patients! You'll see patient's faces light up when they see themselves in the mirror. You'll give caregivers comfort and happiness seeing their loved one perk up and look a little more like themselves.

We keep patients pain free and living with comfort, care, and compassion, but beauty volunteers keep patients positive, upbeat, and feeling like themselves. It's been said before that when you look good, you feel good and we think our patients would agree.

Volunteering is on your schedule and is only one patient a week, unless you'd like to contribute more. Volunteers are needed across the south Atlanta area.

The mission of Sacred Journey Hospice is to provide compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families while enabling them to live with dignity and comfort as they cope with issues related to a life-limiting illness.

Description

Sacred Journey Hospice provides care to patients who have a terminal illness and their families. We visit patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, our 24/7 inpatient unit or wherever else they may be to provide care on a huge spectrum. We provide for medical, therapuetic (physical, speech, emotional, etc), equipment, medication, supplies, spiritual, social, daily living, veteran and many other needs. Volunteers are a HUGE part of our patient care goals.
