I'm updating the post again. Yes, we will work with your schedule but you must be able to commit to the days and times you are available and stick with them. You must be within reasonable driving distance. What Lifeline wants to here first and foremost is your motivation for volunteering rather than simply, "I want to volunteer."
Lifeline is looking for people ready to make a serious commitment as a regular volunteer. We need to try to build more regular shifts so the cats are around humans more. Please contact Karen for an application.
LifeLine is a small no-kill organization. We house approximately 30 cats and kittens. Many rescued cats are very shy. They need to have more exposure to humans to realize that they can trust and love again. They need to know they are safe at LifeLine until we can find them their perfect forever home.
The more cats are exposed to different people, learn that petting feels wonderful the better their chances of finding their home. Houskeeping duties are standard-scooping, feeding and watering. The more important part is socialization and play time.

Mission Statement
Lifeline for Pets is a no-kill animal rescue group based in Pasadena, California. We provide care for homeless cats until a loving home can be found for them. Our goal is to help these deserving animals have a long, happy life!
Description
Lifeline for Pets was formed in 1981 upon the joining of forces of Lynne Jordan and Midge Poynter, two devoted Pasadena-based animal rescuers. We were incorporated in California in 1982 with the aim to rescue animals who would lead lives of misery or not survive. The organization and its volunteers have been devoted to rescuing cats and dogs, placing them up for adoption, or if unadoptable, providing lifetime shelter and care. All animals that come into our care are spayed or neutered. For Lifeline for Pets, rescue means taking full responsibility for the lives and care of cats and dogs. We love them for life!
Our Mission: To improve the lives of companion animals (dogs and cats) by:
- Rescuing them from neglectful and/or hazardous situations;
- Placing them with carefully screened families selected for their love of animals and the security of their homes;
- Promoting and encouraging spay and neutering;
- Assisting needy pet owners with veterinarian bills when funds permit.
