Mission Statement
Lifeline for Pets is a no-kill animal rescue group based in Pasadena, California. We provide care for homeless cats until a loving home can be found for them. Our goal is to help these deserving animals have a long, happy life!
Description
Lifeline for Pets was formed in 1981 upon the joining of forces of Lynne Jordan and Midge Poynter, two devoted Pasadena-based animal rescuers. We were incorporated in California in 1982 with the aim to rescue animals who would lead lives of misery or not survive. The organization and its volunteers have been devoted to rescuing cats and dogs, placing them up for adoption, or if unadoptable, providing lifetime shelter and care. All animals that come into our care are spayed or neutered. For Lifeline for Pets, rescue means taking full responsibility for the lives and care of cats and dogs. We love them for life!
Our Mission: To improve the lives of companion animals (dogs and cats) by:
- Rescuing them from neglectful and/or hazardous situations;
- Placing them with carefully screened families selected for their love of animals and the security of their homes;
- Promoting and encouraging spay and neutering;
- Assisting needy pet owners with veterinarian bills when funds permit.
