Potential Volunteer Assignments:
Set Up Crew - Helps prepare the course for play as well as prepare the individual skills stations, including set up of any SOTX equipment.
Scorekeeper -Guides Athletes through skills competitions and scores the athletes at each station. Once completed, sends athlete to next scoring station. Zero points are awarded for a completely missed stroke, 1 point is awarded for any type of contact with the ball. Athletes receive 5 balls per station.
Golf Cart Drivers - Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Texas Drivers License. License must be carried by volunteer during shift. These are shifts 1, 3, 4 and 6. Drive athletes around the golf course during competition.
Attire: Please dress for comfort and mobility. Wear comfortable shoes - you will be on your feet most of the time.
Parking: General parking is available at Briarcrest Country Club/Phillips Event Center.
For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.
Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Special Olympics Texas serves more than 55,000 athletes: male and female, children and adults. We offer local, area, regional, and state competitions in 22 different sports. We have 4 regional offices and 19 area offices located around the state of Texas.
