Sherman seeks Sharktober Volunteers!

Join Shark Stewards is celebrating and protecting the Ocean in San Francisco for World Oceans Day.

World Oceans Day is a global day of ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future.

Shark Stewards will be hosting our 8th annual World Oceans Day event and is seeking an organized and motovated event planner to help really kick off a great ocean celebration in San Francisco on June 8.

These education and outreach activities are directed at the public, educating and celebrating sharks and marine conservation and supporting the work of Shark Stewards.

We are seeking an enthusiastic oceann lover to plan an ocean party and help us raise funds to continue our marine protection campaigns.

Duties include determining venue (We used Pier 23 last year and can again), planning, helping with scheduling, commuicating to the public and volunteers, and organizing the event the day of. The event planner can help recruit others or use our volunteer base to help, including a donation lead and help solicit donations for a raffle or silent auction.
