  • Children Across America: Empowering Communities

Children Across America, a humanitarian organization, provides educational and literacy support programs to under-served children in the United States. Our vision is to empower families and children in under-served communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s literacy and drive educational excellence. The organization partners with local libraries and school systems to ensure children get the full benefit of our programs. To learn more, please visit www.childrenacrossamerica.org.

We are looking for volunteers for our Saturday morning reading and math club, we might include a coding class for a STEM program if we have enough volunteers. This is an extension of our Summer Club. We are looking for reliable, trusthworthy persons, who are passionate about teaching children to develop their reading, literacy and math comprehension. We would like 5-6 volunteers, to cover weeks when 1 or 2 people cant make it. The children need continuity.

Our objective is to keep the learning process going during the school year in a fun way!

Key responsibilities would include;

  • Listening and interacting with children reading and run math and science games and to make sure every child is in a safe environment
  • Work together as a team
  • Design and develope new games for children if possible
