Be the warm, friendly smile that greets seniors and other visitors at the Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center in Kaysville, UT. You can help make each visitor feel welcome and appreciated as you register them for activities and daily lunchtime meals. We love our seniors at Autumn Glow and want them to feel that from the moment they walk in.
Responsibilities including answering phones, transferring calls, taking accurate messages, greeting and directing guests, registering seniors for activities and lunch, receiving and documenting payments, and answering basic questions about center activities. Hours are flexible, and may be as little as 1/2 day per week or as many as three days per week. Training and lunch are provided.
This opportunity, provided through Davis County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for traveling between home and the Activity Center and supplemental insurance coverage while in service.

Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
