With Ghost Stories, bonfires and a parade, Halloween Legends and Lore at Old World Wisconsin is a spooky, nighttime event that is a delight for the whole family. To help make this event spooktacular, we need the help of wonderful volunteers! Working after hours at Old World Wisconsin, our volunteers will help bring generations of legends and lore to life. These vibrant legends have been brought to Wisconsin by immigrants, and allow us to put a new spin on the Old World Wisconsin we all know and love.
This year we have openings for many Gate Keepers - which is a fantastic volunteer opportunity with many different possibilities. These roles will help keep the rhythm of the night and enhance the guests' experience with helpful faces that have great suggestions for ways to make the night an eerie, good time!
We will also need volunteers to help fill various roles throughout the grounds as we present guests with performances, music, food, crafts, and hands-on activities.
Halloween Legends and Lore at Old World Wisconsin runs for two weekends:
Friday, October 21st and Saturday, October 22nd
Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th
This event is open to the public from 5:30pm until 9pm, and volunteers are asked to begin work at 5pm and expect to finish a bit after 9pm.
