Do you have a passion for empowering others? Special Olympics Montana’s Athlete Leadership Program allows athletes to explore roles off the field of play. Athletes serve in roles such as coaches, officials, area management team members, and fundraisers. Athletes can also become trained Global Messengers for our organization. They serve as trained spokespersons who speak on behalf of our mission and serve on a variety of groups and boards.

The Athlete Leadership Program (ALPs) Coordinator advocates for athlete leaders by recruiting, training and coordinating Global Messengers and mentors to share their stories at public speaking opportunities such as fundraisers and outreach events for Special Olympics. The ALPs Coordinator will act as a liaison between athlete leaders, their families, community groups, their designated AMT and the state office.

This passionate individual works to further the mission of Athlete Leadership Programs which empower athletes to develop leadership skills and utilize their voices to assume meaningful leadership roles, influence change in the Special Olympics movement, and educate communities around the world that results in positive life changes. Help athletes share their voice by becoming an ALPs Coordinator today!
