Help Make the Playground Safe at Rising Star Early Learning

A great education starts at an early age. Our kids rely on childcare centers to provide this much needed start to their development. Volunteers like you have an amazing impact on ensuring the quality and safety of these centers.

The way we can make the biggest impact is by cleaning, landscaping and doing general maintenance around the center. Some special projects may also be available based on the center’s needs.

At Rising Star, we’ll be improving two infant rooms! There are currently half-walls splitting the rooms, and we’ll be demoing those walls to replace with plexi-glass furniture for better visibility. We’ll also be replacing chain link fencing around the playground to save from pinched fingers. We upgraded the shorter fence in July & August, and now we’ll be working on the taller perimeter privacy fence. Bring your muscles!

Does this event require special skills?

There are no specific skills needed for this event. But we should consider being awesome and wanting to volunteer a special skill.

What if I have a large group that wants to volunteer?

How do I sign up to volunteer with just a few friends?
Please have you friends complete the registration form above. We would love to have them join us! On the day of the event, let us know that you want to work together and we’ll ensure you are assigned to the same tasks.

Where to meet and park? What to wear and bring? What is the agenda for the day?
We will send an email with all the details 3 days prior to the event and another reminder 24 hours before.
