Special Events
Enjoy the excitement on our grounds during the many special events (Apple Day, Bunny Bonanza, Dairy Day, Kids Night at the Museum, Tomato Day) we host throughout the year. Adult, teen, and group volunteers are always needed to assist with set-up, clean-up, hands-on activities, greeting and orienting visitors to the event, and security.
Training: On-the-job, with ability to work outdoors (if necessary) and with the public.
Commitment: Full-day, half-day, or evening, on date of event.

Visitor Services Representative
Provide visitors with courteous assistance at the front desk of the museum. Greet and orient customers to the museum, answer the telephone, assist with mailings, admission and gift shop sales, maintain the gift shop, and materials preparation for museum programming and events.
Commitment: Full-day, half-day, weekly or monthly. Immediate need for Thursdays.

Historic Gardener
Delight in helping make the farm museum landscape and gardens a joy for visitors to experience. Landscape design and maintenance includes native Virginia plants, grasses, and fruit trees.
Training: On-the-job, with the ability to work outdoors.
Commitment: Flexible, weekdays or weekends.

Mission Statement

The Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and bringing to life the rich agricultural history of Loudoun County.

Description

Through our interactive exhibits, the Museum highlights 250 years of Loudoun's agricultural heritage. Go back in time and visit the Waxpool General Store, Grandma's Kitchen, and Ms. Su's Schoolhouse to discover what rural life was like here over 100 years ago. Meet ten generations of farmers in our permanent exhibit, It's Just a Way of Life.

The Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum offers adult, family, scout, school, and outreach programming as well as summer camp and year-round special events.
