VHOCC Board of Directors needs a Recording Secretary.

This position is vital to the continuity and process of the Board, and you will learn while assisting. Meetings can be in person (in Port Angeles, WA) or via zoom. All meetings are recorded to assist with transcribing.

  • Good listening skills
  • Access to a computer to transcribe notes.
  • Utmost confidentiality required.
  • Previous experience in taking minutes or experience in secretarial support preferred.

1 Shift

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Regular monthly day and time subject to change.

The mission of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families with free around the clock registered nursing availability and trained volunteers.

Description

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is a non-profit charitable organization, which was founded in 1978, and operates with a 92% volunteer work force. Volunteers positions are varied: providing respite to the caregivers, offering companionship and support to the patients, offering grief and bereavement services to the community in grief support groups or individual sessions, delivering medical equipment and supplies to hospice and non-hospice patients, answering phones in the office, greeting visitors at the reception, providing clerical support in the office, helping with fundraising community events, and more. We provide all our services free of charge to patients and their families and serve Clallam County from Joyce to Diamond Point.
