ORGANIZATION: Inland Valley Hope Partners

Volunteer would help keep family shelter nice by performing some light cleaning (such as get on ladder and dust ceiling fans) and simple maintenance (such as re-caulk a sink) in our shelter. The volunteer would need to perform the tasks sometime between 9:00am and 12:45pm on a Monday, between 1:30pm and 5:00pm on Tuesday, or between 9:00am and 5:00pm on Thursday, approximately twice a month (should take around 2 hours). We would love to hear from someone willing to help us with this need. Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement

The Mission of Inland Valley Hope Partners' is to bring together churches, individuals, businesses and community groups to ensure the empowerment of people in need, by providing food, shelter and supportive services. We Believe... In the worth and dignity of every person. We are all connected in the human family. God calls us to serve one another. In empowering people. In the value of working together.

Description

Inland Valley Hope Partners' is a nonprofit organization that began in1968 as the Inland Valley Council of Churches. They realized more needed to be done within the Inland Valley Community to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. They now operate four Food Pantries, a Family Residential Emergency Shelter, and a Pomona Valley Certified Farmers' Market in the East end of Los Angeles County and the West end of San Bernardino County.

We serve more than 75,000 children, men, and women through our four food pantries, located in Pomona, Ontario, San Dimas and Claremont, the "Our House" emergency shelter and the Pomona Valley Certified Farmers' Market. We promote food drives, toy drives, and fund-raising campaigns aimed at giving individuals and families meals to bolster their health and spirits. Our goal is to find a home for individuals, couples, families, and children who have none, and to feed those who are hungry.
